Domain laws: Shenxiao, Shahai and Zhan Tian compared

A domain is a counter with three outcomes: it fires, it intrudes, or it does nothing. Only the middle one is worth building around.

Fusion PVP changes once the domain law (法则领域) comes online. The losses that feel inexplicable are usually not a damage problem: the enemy's domain intruded into yours and applied a control effect, while yours only buffed you. This chapter separates the two events — activation at ten casts and intrusion after an aura pressure comparison — and compares the three laws the corpus documents.

Source note: the trigger, the percentages and the unlock realms below come from a single corpus entry, not from a client dump. The corpus also states that it does not enumerate every intrusion effect. Treat the listed effects as the mechanic and re-check values after a patch.

What counts toward the ten-cast trigger?

The domain is a counter, not a cooldown button. Every divine ability cast and every fabao (flying treasures) cast adds one to the count, and at 10 the domain activates automatically. There is no separate button and no way to hold it.

Because both abilities and fabao count, domain timing is a direct function of rotation speed. A build that casts quickly gets its domain out early; a build sitting on long cooldowns gets it late. That also means a fabao collision that delays your ability rhythm delays the domain as well. The 3.5-second divine ability cadence in the Lingya (Spiritual Pressure) system feeds straight into domain uptime, and a fast-cycling fabao setup will reach ten noticeably sooner than a slow, heavy one.

Why is activation not the same as intrusion?

Activation is automatic. Intrusion is conditional: if your aura pressure (威压) is higher than your opponent's, the intrusion triggers (威压高于对手触发侵入). Your domain can come out on schedule and still never touch the enemy.

This is the same relative-stat pattern the game uses elsewhere, including the Lingya stun formula and the Dominator's 5% threshold. Those checks are why a domain behind on pressure is only a self-buff, while a domain ahead applies its real effect. The practical question in a Fusion duel is therefore not which law you own but whether you win the pressure comparison. A Shenxiao player who loses the check has a defensive domain; the same player who wins it has a five-second stun. The same law is two different abilities depending on that answer.

What does Shenxiao do when it intrudes?

Shenxiao (神霄) stuns the target for 5 seconds on intrusion (侵入使目标眩晕5秒), and the corpus rates it the strongest law for single combat (最强单挑). The comparison to Lingya is direct: the Lingya stun cap is 6 seconds and requires a +100% advantage, while Shenxiao delivers 5 seconds from a domain intrusion with no Lingya stacking involved.

At the 3.5-second cadence, five seconds is roughly one and a half ability cycles. That is enough to land a full rotation, break a shield and set up the next domain. In a 1v1 a single successful intrusion is usually the fight-ending event, which is exactly why the law is rated for duels.

What does Shahai cost, and when is it worth it?

Shahai (煞海) is an explicit trade. The intrusion consumes 15% of your true essence and gives the target +20% damage taken (消耗15%真元,增加20%承伤).

It is a grind law, not a burst law. The 20% is a multiplier on every source of damage hitting that target for the duration, not a one-time hit. In a 1v1 you are paying 15% of your resource to amplify only your own damage, which is a fair trade at best. In a group fight the same amplifier is shared by the whole team while you pay the cost alone, and that is when the math works. It is also a poor fit for true-essence-hungry builds, because the cost is paid on every intrusion. Judged as a solo tool it looks mediocre; judged as a group-fight amplifier it is efficient.

What does Zhan Tian add, and why is it realm-gated?

Zhan Tian (斩天) is unlocked at Mahayana (大乘解锁) and has two parts. The self-buff stacks damage dealt and damage reduction up to 3 layers. The intrusion makes the target take +15% damage and suffer 60% of your attack as damage per second (目标受伤+15%+每秒60%攻击伤害).

Both parts are built for a long fight. Three layers means the power curve is back-loaded: you never reach full value in a short fight, while an extended fight turns the law into a stat monster. The intrusion complements that with a damage-taken amplifier plus a damage-over-time tick; together they close out fights that have already gone long.

The gate matters for planning. Fusion players have Shenxiao and Shahai; Zhan Tian arrives one realm later at Mahayana. A long-fight identity cannot be built during Fusion because the law does not exist yet there. Run Shenxiao or Shahai through Fusion, then reassess at Mahayana.

How do the three laws compare?

LawRealmIntrusion effectCostBest for
神霄 ShenxiaoFusion5-second stunNone listedSingle combat (最强单挑)
煞海 ShahaiFusion+20% damage taken on target15% true essenceTeam fights
斩天 Zhan TianMahayana+15% damage taken + 60% attack/sec damage over timeNone listedLong fights

Read the table by column rather than by row. The cost column is the tell: Shenxiao and Zhan Tian list no resource cost, while Shahai charges 15% true essence. Shenxiao is the cheap, reliable duel pick, Shahai is a paid team-fight investment, and Zhan Tian is a free but realm-gated scaling pick.

How do you win the aura pressure check?

Treat aura pressure as the whole fight, because a domain that cannot intrude is only a self-buff. Before committing to a law, confirm that you actually win the pressure comparison in your bracket; if you consistently lose it, the law choice barely matters.

Invest decisively. This is a relative check with a binary outcome, so being 1% behind is functionally the same as being 50% behind: the intrusion either triggers or it does not. The corpus does not describe a respec cost, so treat the law as a build decision tied to your realm stage rather than a permanent identity. The same discipline applies to Lingya, and the combat chapter covers how both checks resolve inside a fight. Once the pressure question is settled, the rotations that fill the ten-cast window come from the build library.
